How to be More Green This Christmas I know some of you have already started shopping for gifts for your loved ones, but have you considered changing some small things up for the environment? Here are some ways you might do it:1. Keep all tissue paper, bows, gift bags, and ribbons you get from gifts. They can be reused on other gifts later.
2. Ban people in your house from using wrapping paper. I mean really; buying paper for the point of ripping it up and throwing it out? It's a waste of money and trees.
3. Wrap differently. Use reusable(fabric) wrapping paper, or you could even give gifts in reusable shopping bags; that way even the bag it comes in is a gift.
4. Set timers. Set your Christmas lights on a timer so they turn off when you are in bed. It will save you money as well.
5. Use a fake tree. Real Christmas trees shed needles, can have pesticides, needs to be bought every year, and not to mention it kills a tree. On the other hand, a fake tree usually only has to be bought once in a life time so will save you money, keep you healthy, and help the environment.
6. Switch to LED Christmas lights. It will save you money and the environment.
My News:I got a job a while back and am working to both pay off my Scotland trip, and to start saving to saving for the trip to Jamaica my grandfather is taking my family on this winter. Actually, last winter my grandma died and hours before her death she made my grandpa promise he would take us somewhere, so really this trip is for her. Miss you grandma!
Other then that, the only news I have is that my computer has a virus, so until I get it fixed I won't have any photography to put up; since the only other computer I have(the laptop I am using now) has a messed up screen.
